The original Boothden was completed in 1883 by architect Calvert Vaux for world renowned Shakespearean actor Edwin Booth, and also the brother of infamous John Wilkes Booth. When the current owners purchased the property, the Queen Anne Stick Style estate had been mutilated with a myriad of renovations and additions. Only remnants of the original home existed. This is our reinterpretation of the original design’s spirit from the few pictures that remained.
