Day One | Color Blind?!
My first day of watercolor class at Providence Art Club with teachers Bill Lane and Anne Wert. Technically I took a course with Derek Bradford at RISD in 1985 on Beaux-Arts painting, but the technique is totally different where one paints in very light washes of grey and builds a drawing in black and white. Only later is a simple color glaze applied. I have spent my life in fear of color… teasing through the years that I was colorblind. Showing up for this class was a truly frightful experience for me. I was totally intimated. These are my first two class assignments.
